Your setting a National Association of Rocketry (NAR) United States Model Rocket Performance Record is governed by the United States Model Rocket Sporting Code (USMRSC). You MUST comply with all applicable USMRSC provisions. Please note the special requirements in these rules:

·         USMRSC 4

·         USMRSC 14.10

·         USMRSC 17

·         And the rules for the event for which you want to set a record.   

To set ANY NAR record, you MUST use a CONTEST APPROVED motor. USMRSC 4.4

To set a NAR altitude record using an electronic altimeter, you MUST use an altimeter listed in Appendix G of the USMRSC: http://www.nar.org/pdf/pinkbook.pdf

Further, the altimeter must be a “recording altimeter” as described in USMRSC 14.10.4.
